Guanzon's oath was administered by Court of Appeals (CA) Justice Edwin Sorsogon.

She shared pictures of her oath-taking on her Twitter.

Guanzon is the first nominee of P3PWD Party-list based on the latest list that it submitted to Comelec.

There were five other names in the group's initial list, but all five nominees have already resigned. P3PWD Party-list received enough votes for one seat in the House of Representatives.

Guanzon has said that she would champion the welfare and rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Congress. She said she would also pursue reforms on the country’s election laws.

Prior to her oath-taking, the Comelec en banc junked Duterte Youth Party-list's verified opposition to Guanzon's substitution as a nominee.
