Robredo’s spokesman Barry Gutierrez said that this week’s episode would be the last in the series that began in May 2017 to tackle issues concerning the government, legal, and public service.

The one-hour radio program, which Robredo anchors with radio man Ely Saludar, airs at 9 a.m. every Sunday on RMN-DZXL 558.

The “BISErbisyong Leni” show had 226 episodes that were also aired via regional stations of the radio network in Cebu, Cagayan De Oro, Davao, and Naga City.

“It’s scheduled to have its last episode this coming Sunday. And the Vice President will be there to attend the last episode,” Gutierrez, a lawyer, said in an interview with ANC.

The spokesperson noted they would explore new platforms to replace the radio show even when Robredo finally becomes a private citizen on June 30.

“But you know, moving forward, if it’s possible for her to have another show, another venue for getting her message out, then it’s something that we will probably explore,” he added.

For Saludar, he felt honored as co-host of the Vice President during her weekly radio show over the past five years.

“I am very pleased and honored to have the opportunity to work with the VP, who is such a great leader,” he told the Manila Bulletin.

Work will not yet be over for the outgoing Vice President after she announced the creation of the Angat Buhay Foundation, which is set to start on July 1 and would carry some of her flagship programs.

As she steps down from office, Robredo will likewise launch a campaign to fight disinformation and fake news on social media.
