PNP: Golf course in front of National Museum to accommodate BBM supporters on June 30 inauguration day
Supporters of President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. will be accommodated at the golf course located in front of the National Museum in Manila during his inauguration on June 30, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Wednesday, June 22.
But PNP officer-in-charge Lt. Gen, Vicente Danao, Jr. said the crowd at the Intramuros Golf Course will be limited and that security will be tight as part of the security measures to prevent any untoward incident.

Danao said the golf course will be the viewing area for those who would not be allowed to enter the National Museum where only 1,200 VIPs will be accommodated.
"We will have two points of entries at the National Museum and two more points of entries for the golf course," said Danao after the security meeting in Manila which was followed by the inspection of the inauguration site.
Police Maj. Gen. Valeriano De Leon, PNP director for Operations, earlier said that they were meeting with the management of the Intramuros Golf Course to accommodate supporters of the Marcos.
He said the golf course could accommodate up to 10,000 people.
De Leon said that a number of viewing areas will also be set up using digital billboards and large LED TVs in order to discourage Marcos supporters from going to Manila.

Among the viewing areas being eyed are the Mall of Asia in Pasay City, the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, the Philippine Sports Complex in Pasig City and the North Luzon Express Terminal also in Bulacan.
Police regional directors were also instructed to look for viewing areas in their respective areas of responsibility.
7,000 cops
Danao said they will be deploying at least 7,000 policemen to the vicinity of the National Museum. He added that more policemen will be deployed in other areas leading to the National Museum.
"We are almost 98 percent done," said Danao.
He said there will be just minor security adjustments that include the seating arrangements at the National Museum.
"What we are suggesting is that the VIP seats should be located in front and that the military personnel would be at the back to ensure 100 percent security," said Danao.

Danao said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will be putting up shades in the area for the guests in anticipation of either rains or intense heat of the sun.
The inauguration of the President is always scheduled at noon of June 30 as stated in the Philippine Constitution.
Of barriers and traffic rerouting
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo earlier said that barriers will also be set up in some strategic areas in anticipation of protest actions.
Danao then appealed to the protesters to hold their programs in designated areas and refrain from going to the National Museum.
"They can hold their protest actions but let them do it in a proper way and in the proper area. This is an important event so we hope that they will respect it," said Danao.
He said there will also be traffic rerouting plan starting 12:01 of June 26 in coordination with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the City Government of Manila.
Danao said they will leave to the MMDA the traffic rerouting plan.
