The outgoing vice president treated the public to a glimpse of her meeting with Ambe Francisco at a dinner in her hometown of Naga City via Facebook post on Tuesday, June 21.

Robredo recreated Francisco’s photo with her from more than three decades ago with a caption that sent her Facebook followers in a frenzy.

She shared the first photo that was taken in 1990 at the opening of Biggs, where she and late husband, former Naga City mayor Jesse Robredo, were served drinks by Francisco.

It felt like it was just yesterday when they saw each other again during a high school thanksgiving dinner that was catered by the fast casual restaurant.

“Ambe Francisco was the same person who served us food. He showed me his phone and his wallpaper was this first pic(ture) from many years ago,” Robredo wrote.

“Ang happy lang (It’s just so happy),” she said, clearly in reference to Francisco’s old photo with her and husband Jesse.

Amused by the reunion, the two effortlessly recreated a photo of them with Francisco serving a drink to the vice president.

Robredo was only regretful that her late husband was not able to join them in the photograph.

“Sayang we couldn’t recreate the exact one because Jess is no longer with us,” she said in a post.
