Award-winning power diva Angeline Quinto is opening up about becoming a mom. Just recently, the well-loved ASAP performer welcomed her first child with her partner Nonrev Daquina as they embrace the happy new life changes every day.
"Hanggang ngayon, kapag nakikita ko yung anak ko, hindi ako makapaniwala na may sarili na akong anak. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na after mawala si Mama Bob noong 2020, ang daming nangyari sa buhay ko to the point na gusto ko ng ihinto ang trabaho ko sa showbiz dahil nag-iba ang buhay ko noong nawala ang Mama. Ang Mama Bob ang mundo ko at ginagawa ko ang lahat sa kanya. Pero mabait ang Diyos. Sa araw araw na pagdarasal ko, ibinigay niya sa akin si baby Sylvio at binigyan ako ng bagong purpose sa buhay ko. Mas lalo akong excited na makapagtrabaho pa po para sa kanya," said Quinto, during the launch of Twinqle, the newest skin care line for moms and babies, held at Dusit Hotel in Makati City recently.
Quinto, 32, revealed that she only rested for one month instead of three months after she gave birth to Sylvio. "Sa tutoo lang, pinaalam ko sa doktor ko na magtrabaho after one month pa lang pero dapat three months. Pero dahil sa marami ng naipon na babayarin, one month pa lang kailangan ko na magtrabaho."
Just like any new parents, Quinto said that she and her partner are hands-on in taking care of their baby.
"Kahit na may kasama kami sa bahay, ako pa rin ang tututok sa kanya simula umaga hanggang madaling araw. Pero kapag meron naman akong commitment ng umaga, the next day, yung papa niya naman. Bigayan naman kaming dalawa. So siya yung nagbabantay ng gabi tapos kinabukasan ako naman. So kaming dalawa hands-on po," she said.
Quinto said that she listened to her songs when she was pregnant. "Sylvio is only one month and three weeks. Tuwing pinaliliguan ko sya, ang taas ng boses niya kapag umiiyak. Sinanay ko kasi si Sylvio na nasa tiyan ko pa lang nakikinig lagi ako ng music hanggang sa lumabas na sya, andyan na sya, pinaparinig ko sa kanya mga kanta ko. Para maging aware siya na singer ang nanay niya. Belter ito paglaki."
Aside from being a mom, Quinto took on the CEO hat with the new venture, which was inspired by her pregnancy and motherhood journey with her firstborn son.
“Talagang very challenging and fulfilling ang pagiging mommy. Mula sa pagbubuntis hanggang sa panganganak kailangan mong alagaan nang maigi ‘yung sarili mo at ‘yung baby mo. Kaya naman sobrang nakaka-relate talaga ako sa pagka-choosy ng mga mommy nowadays sa pagpili ng mga products na ginagamit nila. Kasi kahit ako very pihikan sa mga ginagamit namin ni Baby Sylvio,” Quinto said.
Quinto’s keenness in choosing the right products for her and her baby paired with the ever-growing lessons she learns as a mom gave way to the birth of Twinqle, a name she also fondly uses to address her fans.
The singer-entrepreneur also revealed that she is proud and grateful to have seasoned business partners who are very hands-on. Adding that their team includes experts in the skin care industry
and fellow mom-preneurs who also share the same vision with her.
“Ang goal talaga namin ng mga partners ko is to create effective and affordable products na ramdam mo ‘yung alangang ina na walang kapantay. Kaya sinigurado namin na quality lahat from ingredients, production, and certification…we made sure na safe at effective ang bawat Twinqle products,” she added.
Aside from curating quality and safe mom and baby products, Quinto also highlighted that Twinqle
is a business that keeps on giving as they will also open income-generating opportunities well-suited for stay-at-home moms, working moms, and budding entrepreneurs.
“Ang mas nakakatuwa dito sa Twinqle pwede ka nang magkaroon ng sarili mong small business with products na talagang proudly Philippine-made at affordable pa,” she furthered.

Now that her business has been launched, will Quinto finally give up showbiz?
"Sa sobrang pagmamahal ko sa pagkanta, siguro hanggat kaya kong kumanta andyan ako para sa kanila. Yung pag-arte naman bonus lang yun kapag nabibigyan ako ng chance sa acting. Siguro sa singing, kahit na kasing age ako ni Ms. Pilita Corrales, andyan pa rin ako. Ganun ko nakikita ang sarili ko," she said.
