A woman was arrested by police after she yielded some P10.8 million worth of alleged shabu in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 188, Caloocan City, Thursday morning, June 16.
Col. Samuel Mina, Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) chief, identified the victim as Zaida Amod, 45, a resident of the said barangay.
Based on a tip from an informant, the CCPS Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), the 6th Mobile Force Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion-National Capital Region Police Office, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) launched an entrapment operation against the suspect at Phase 12, Barangay 188 at around 8 a.m. on Thursday.
Police said Amod was arrested after the successful deal.
They recovered seven knot-tied transparent plastic bags containing approximately 1,600 grams of alleged shabu valued at P10,880,000, an unsealed empty transparent plastic bag, and the buy-bust money.
Amod will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
