Being a father is Richard Reynoso’s source of pride and inspiration

Father's Day is a perfect occasion to celebrate all the joys of being a father. For celebrity singer, recording artist-producer, director, and host, Richard Reynoso, fatherhood has taught him about unconditional love, and how to become a better person.

A proud dad to two lovely daughters - Dana and Abby -- he relates, that he always thinks of his kids’ welfare first before his own. “But it’s a great feeling knowing that you have someone who loves you unconditionally,” Richard intimates.

Fatherhood has transformed Richard to become a more responsible person. At the age of 30, becoming a father is the greatest thing that could ever happen to him. He both experiences the joys and trials of raising children.

He keeps a strong paternal bond with his "girls" and continues to strengthen it through time. As a dad, Richard describes himself as "open and supportive." He tries to be the best father that he knows how to be.

“My daughters and I have this relationship where people would often mistake us as siblings or even ‘barkada’ because of how we treat each other,” Richard relates.  “They never hesitate to share their experiences with me, no matter how little it is or how simple their day went.” He also describes himself as a  “doting” dad  “because I will always see them like my babies no matter how big they are.”

Richard’s best memory of a Father's Day celebration with his family happened a few years back. After much prodding from his kids who wanted to experience the newest waterpark attractions, they went to AquaPlanet in Clark, Pampanga. It was a fun activity that they all enjoyed as a family.

“My wife and I ended up trying each one with them, even going as far as to race each other on who gets to stay in front,” he recalls with fondness. Richard was paired with his eldest on two of the rides, opting to take the back seat of the floaty so that his daughter would enjoy the view. Both rides were slide-types.

“Being heavier than my daughter, the floaties always ended up doing a complete 180-degree turn in the middle of the ride, with our backs hitting the water first when we get to the actual pool,” he shares. “All I could hear before impact would be my daughter laughing out loud, as if she was expecting it to happen, along with my wife and youngest laughing as well while they waited for us and taking a video of the whole thing as it happened.”

The caring dad and loving husband to his wife, Amor, always finds time for his family. "When I don’t have work, I try my best to spend as much time as I can with my family. We usually do movie nights or game nights where we play video games or board games together,” Richard enthuses.

Being a father has been, without a doubt, Richard's greatest source of pride and inspiration.
