The Manila Bulletin is among the most trusted news brands in the Philippines, according to the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism’s Digital News Report 2022 released globally on Wednesday, June 15.
Among 15 brands, Manila Bulletin placed 2nd with a total trust rating of 66 percent.
It has maintained its 2nd position among the country’s most trusted news brands in the Digital News Report 2021.
GMA Network remained at the top spot with 70 percent trust rating.
Climbing to 3rd spot were the Philippine Daily Inquirer and Super Balita DZBB, both with 65 percent trust rating.
They displaced the Philippine Star, which is now at 4th place with 64 percent trust rating.
Philippine Daily Inquirer and Super Balita DZBB were in 4th and 5th spots, respectively, in 2021.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN, Abante/Abante Tonight, and Rappler garnered the lowest trust ratings with 52 percent, 47 percent, and 46 percent, respectively.
