Man runs amuck, shot dead by police in Bulacan

A man who ran amuck in a neighbourhood in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, was shot dead allegedly after assaulting the responding police officers on Monday, June 13.

Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla, acting Bulacan police director, identified the slain suspect as Ricardo Agno, 42, of Sta. Maria.

Cabradilla said that the suspect, who was armed with a bladed weapon, tried to hack several individuals who managed to dodge the attacks and run for safety.

As the responding police officer strived to pacify Agno, the latter aggressively assaulted them. This prompted the cops to shoot him.

The suspect was rushed to Rogaciano Mercado Memorial Hospital but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

During the investigation, police learned that the suspect was suffering from a mental disorder.
