Bobby Mark Parks, brother of Ray Parks Jr., commits to NU


Bobby Mark Parks, the younger brother of Ray Parks Jr., has committed to the National University Bulldogs for UAAP Season 86.

Parks, who played for Waubonsee Community College Division 1 in Illinois, will take his residency in Season 85 and will be eligible the following year.

The 6-foot-5 guard will have three years of eligibility at most.

No less than Bulldogs head coach Jeff Napa confirmed the development Wednesday, June 15.

Napa insisted that Parks' arrival will come in handy as some of the veterans and seniors are bound to leave come Season 86.

"Sakto ang pagpasok niya kasi mawawala na sa amin sina JLC (John Lloyd Clemente) non," said Napa in a statement given to the press. "We expect him to just play his game, walang pressure na kapatid siya ni Ray."

Mark's brother Ray was a former Bulldog who won back-to-back Most Valuable Player honor in Seasons 74 and 75.

While Mark is busy with his transition with NU and the UAAP, his brother Ray recently signed aa two-year extension with the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins in the Japan B.League.
