A total of 411 trainees of the City of Malabon Polytechnic Institute (CMPI) technical-vocational (tech-voc) education program completed their courses on June 10, the local government announced on Tuesday, June 14.
Incumbent Malabon City Mayor Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta III led the graduation rites held at the Oreta Sports Complex.
According to the local government, the graduates consist of three batches who enrolled for various tech-voc programs such as Housekeeping, Tailoring, Hairdressing, Electronics, Industrial Electricity, Automotive Servicing, Beauty Nail Care, Computer System Servicing, Basic Computer Course, Events Management and Services, and others.
Oreta thanked the CMPI, the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), and the graduates for the success of the tech-voc program.
Also present at the event were CMPI Executive Director Pilar Herbolario and TESDA-CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) Representative Kenneth Lombos.
The local government said that there are also 75 tailoring course graduates who received sewing starting kits to help them start their livelihoods.
