Over 3,000 cyclists and bikers nationwide shared their time, skills, and resources to raise funds and support the PRC’s programs against Covid-19.

MVR 6 allowed participants to finish their selected categories at their own pace, time, distance, and venue.

The final program was supposed to be held via face-to-face at the SM Mall of Asia grounds on the same date but PRC canceled it a few weeks beforehand in response to the government’s efforts on keeping the public safe against the new Covid-19 subvariants detected in the National Capital Region, Palawan, and Baguio City.

Lucky participants received raffle prizes such as massage chairs, mountain bikes, laptop, tablets, and cash.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa lahat ng mga participants at volunteers na nakilahok sa ating virtual MVR 6. Hinihikayat ko rin ang ating mga participants na patuloy na makiisa sa Red Cross sa pagbibigay serbisyo nito sa lahat ng mga nangangailangan, lalong lalo ngayong panahon ng pandemya (I am grateful to all the participants and volunteers who joined our virtual MVR 6. I am also encouraging our participants to continuously support Red Cross in providing service to those in need especially this time of pandemic),” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Senator Richard Gordon said in a statement released Monday, June 13.

PRC continues to deliver immediate Covid-19 response through its vaccination programs in different parts of the Philippines. (Luisa Cabato)
