More envoys to pay courtesy visit on Marcos


More diplomats are scheduled to pay courtesy visits on President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Monday, June 13.

Among those who are scheduled to visit Marcos, Jr. are Ambassador Marat Pavlov of Russia, Ambassador Hmed Shehabeldin Ibrahim of Egypt and Ambassador Grete Sillasen of Denmark.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call with the incoming president.

Last Friday, June 10, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in the Philippines Gustavo Gonzales, Sweden Ambassador Annika Thunborg, Ambassador Charles Brown of the Holy See and Irish Ambassador William Carlos paid a visit on Marcos Jr.

During the meeting, Thunborg disclosed that the campaign against illegal drugs was among those they discussed.

The ambassadors of Spain, Germany, Morocco, Japan, South Korea, India, including United States Chargé d’Affaires Heather Variava have also separately visited Marcos Jr. in his headquarters in Mandaluyong City.
