Dottie Ardina slips to joint 14th; Pagdanganan misses cut


Dottie Ardina slipped to a share of 14th place after carding an even-par 71 in the second round of the Shoprite LPGA Classic held Saturday, June 11 (Sunday Philippine time) in Galloway, New Jersey.

Ardina had two birdies, including the last on the 13th hole that allowed her to negate two bogeys on the front nine and register a two-day aggregate of 138 going into the final round of the 54-hole event.

The 28-year-old is joined by first round leader Stephanie Kyriacou, who fell down in the leaderboard after carding a 73.

Also tied with the two golfers are Germany’s Isi Gabsa, Americans Alana Uriell and Britany Lang, China’s Ruixin Liu, South Korea’s Jin Young Ko and Sweden’s Pernilla Lindberg.

They are five shots back of Sweden’s Frida Kinhult, who grabbed the lead at 133 with 18 holes to play.

Ardina birdied at No. 2 but bogeyed on the following hole followed by another on the 9th.

Meanwhile, Bianca Pagdanganan missed the cut despite a 1-under 70 for a 147 aggregate.

Pagdanganan had a rough start in New Jersey when she carded an opening round of 77.
