Korean star Kim Soo-hyun bursts into tears at Pinoy fans’ messages: ‘I am so happy’


Korean star Kim Soo-hyun cried as he was overwhelmed with emotions when Filipino fans gave their messages for him at his fan meeting in Manila.

The actor, who starred in the Korean dramas “My Love from the Star” and “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” held his “One Extraordinary Day with Kim Soo-hyun” fan meeting at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

At the end of the event, a video was shown in which Filipino fans gave their messages for Kim Soo-hyun.

As he was watching the video, Kim Soo-hyun started crying as he was touched by their messages.

“Mabuhay. Welcome to the Philippines, Kim Soo-hyun. I am so happy that you are finally here in the Philippines. Saranghae (I love you),” said fan Charlene Kimberly Ong in the video.

After the video was shown, Kim Soo-hyun said he was so happy to spend time with Filipino fans.

“I am so happy to be here with you, say hello and spend time with you because it has been a very long time. I will be working very hard so that I can come back and come back often, and hope to see you all again soon with good news, projects. I’d love to come back and see you all again,” he said.

When Kim Soo-hyun emerged on stage when the fan meeting started, he felt awed by the number of people who went to the event.

“Mabuhay Philippines! Kamusta kayo? (How are you?)” he greeted fans in the venue.

When asked how he felt to be in Manila, Kim Soo-hyun said he was having a hard time containing his emotions as he showed that he was overwhelmed by the reaction of the audience.

He said it has been so long since he held such an event, saying, “This is truly an honor and I thank you so much.”

When asked how he sees himself in 10 years, Kim Soo-hyun said, “Ten years from now, it will be 2032, and I am thinking maybe I will grow a really long beard and I would have turned into this really mature and serious .”

About the highlight of his career, Kim Soo-hyun said, “The moment that is really special to me and is a highlight of really every project that I do is the last day of shoot, always the last day of shooting of the project that I am currently working on.”

On his favorite places, Kim Soo-hyun said he is very curious and would love to visit Palawan in the Philippines.
