P300k shabu seized in Paranaque buy-bust operation


Members of the Parañaque City police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of two suspects. Seized from them was P380,000 worth of shabu on Wednesday, June 8.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, identified the suspects as Dennis Palen Castro, alias “Kamote,” 51, and John-Roy Herrera Cubero, 29.

Sebastian said the suspects were arrested at around 4:00 a.m. at Hontiveros Compound, 4th Estate Subdivision, Barangay, San Antonio.

He said operatives from the SDEU and police Sub-Station 5 conducted the buy-bust operation due to numerous complaints on the suspects' illegal drug activities.

The city police chief said the joint SDEU and Sub-Station 5 team confiscated from the suspects around 56 grams of shabu worth P380,000, one black coin purse, and the P1,500 buy-bust money

Sebastian said the suspects are now detained at the Parañaque City police custodial facility and charged with illegal possession of drugs.

He also said the confiscated shabu was brought to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
