K-pop group The Boyz’s US shows postponed as members, staff test positive for Covid-19


K-pop boy band The Boyz have postponed two shows in the US after members and staff tested positive for Covid-19.

They are currently in the US for “The Boyz World Tour: The B-Zone in USA” concert tour.

On June 8, IST Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced the postponement of the shows in Dallas, Texas and San Jose, California after The Boyz members Juyeon, Kevin and Q, and staff have been confirmed to have Covid-19.

“A few of our members of The Boyz [Juyeon, Kevin, Q), and some of the touring staff have tested positive for Covid-19 during The Boyz World Tour: The B-Zone in USA,” the agency said.

It added, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are deeply regretful to announce that the rest of the The Boyz World Tour: The B-Zone in USA (Dallas and San Jose) shows must be postponed.”

The Boyz were scheduled to hold teh show in Dallas on June 8 at Texas Trust Cu Theatre, and San Jose on June 10 at the San Jose Civic.

The agency said it “is currently discussing to finalize details on the rescheduling of the” Dallas and San Jose shows.

“We hope you understand that there are multiple parties involved in a tour including artist management, production, venues, etc. Please note that all official updates and details will be shared on DREAM MAKER USA’s official channels first. We advise all the fans to look to our official channels for the most updated and accurate information,” it said.

It added, “We want to assure that the action was taken immediately after receiving the results. We sincerely apologize for such a short notice and cause concern to the fans. We will do our best to support our artists for a speedy recovery.”

The Boyz’s Q earlier did not attend the Atlanta show on June 5 at the Coca-Cola Roxy as he was “not feeling well.”
