Police identified the subject as Raffy Cardeñas, 37, of Barangay Singcang-Airport.

Maj. Joery Puerto, head of Police Station 8, said that Cardeñas became the subject of surveillance and eventually of buy-bust after he and his sibling were identified by some previously arrested drug suspects as their alleged source of illegal drugs here.

Cardeñas was previously arrested for a drug offense and was released in September 2021 through plea bargaining, according to Puerto.

Puerto said it took them two months to monitor Cardeñas, who is considered a high value individual because of the huge volume of drug found in his possession.

Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, lauded the operating personnel for another successful operation against illegal drugs.

Dongbo also thanked the police for their aggressive campaign in illegal drugs, and urged them to continue the war on drugs.
