This was bared in a statement by Marcos's political party, the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP), on Monday morning, June 6. The statement was attributed to lawyer George Briones, PFP general counsel.

In the same statement, the party announced that it filed Monday Marcos's statement of contributions and expenditures or (SOCE) with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) "in compliance with our election laws well before the June 8, 2022 deadline".

"The SOCE of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) consists of 400 pages. The PFP spent P272 million by way of expenses in the last 2022 presidential campaign, which is well below the maximum expenditure of P337 million allowed by law for a national political party," it read.

Marcos, whose signature performer during the 90-day campaign period was popular singer-host Toni Gonzaga, amassed an astounding 31 million votes in the polls. He gained a rare majority vote mandate as a result.

The PFP SOCE was signed and prepared by PFP National Treasurer Antonio Ernesto “Anton” Lagdameo who was recently nominated by Marcos as his SAP or Special Assistant to the President.

The PFP SOCE is the final Comelec requirement from the party pursuant to the Election Code and other Comelec resolutions.

Marcos, 64, sits as party chairman.
