Converge sends Herndon to SMB in sign-and-trade deal

Robbie Herndon found himself on the move just hours after inking a new deal as Converge sent him to San Miguel Beer for a pair of second round picks.

The deal which was approved by the Commissioner’s office on Monday, June 6, gave Converge the rights to SMB’s second round picks in the 2023 and 2023 rookie drafts.

The deal was reportedly pre-arranged between the three camps as Herndon signed the fresh one-year deal with FiberXers Team Governor Chito Salud at the PBA office, just hours before the trade was announced by the league.

Herndon, who normed 10.3 points and 5.1 rebounds during his last conference with Alaska, is expected to give the Beermen a huge boost in the backcourt especially with Terrence Romeo still questionable for the conference due to a nagging back injury.

After Herndon's departure, Converge then addressed its own backcourt rotation after coming into terms with Maverick Ahanmisi later in the day.

That now leaves big man Abu Tratter as the lone former Alaska player who has yet to sign a deal since the Fiberxers bought the Aces franchise in March.
