Robredo and the Office of the Vice President (OVP) team led by Undersecretary Philip Dy welcomed Duterte's team during their visit at the OVP in Quezon City.

Both teams made a tour at the Quezon City Reception House and Ben-Lor Building as part of the "organized transition" to the new leadership.

Robredo assured Duterte's camp that her commitment to a smooth transition will be ensured and that the entire OVP is ready to assist them.

"Sa pagkikitang ito, muling tiniyak ni VP Leni na handa siya at ang buong OVP team sa anumang kakailanganing tulong o paggabay para sa maayos na pagpasok ng susunod na administrasyon (In this meeting, VP Leni reiterated that she and the entire OVP team is ready to whatever assistance or guidance the next OVP team will need in to ensure an organized transition to the next administration)," the OVP said in a statement.

Prior to the meeting, transition teams from both sides have met to give an overview on the OVP, including the reforms and programs under Robredo's term.

The Davao City mayor defeated Robredo’s running-mate Senator Francis “Kiko“ Pangilinan by 22.7 million votes. She garnered a total of 32.2 million votes against the senator’s 9.3 million votes.
