Bulacan local gov’t, DA distribute free-range chickens to 66 farmers

The provincial government of Bulacan and the Department of Agriculture (DA) distributed a total of 462 free-range chickens to 66 Bulakenyo farmers during the Animal Distribution Program held in the capitol compound of the City of Malolos on Thursday, June 2.

The local government said 212 of the chickens were from the DA-Regional Field Office 3 while the remaining 250 were from the farm of Gov. Daniel R. Fernando.

Fernando told the farmer-beneficiaries that the construction of the Farmer Training School is already ongoing and that the Farmers Productivity Multiplier and Breeding Center is also soon-to-rise in the province.

“Ang mga ito po ay bahagi ng ating recovery program. Layunin po nito na magkaroon ng hanapbuhay ang mga Bulakenyo. Inaayos na rin po ang patuloy na pagpapatupad ng People’s Agenda 10. Kailangan natin ng hanapbuhay bilang paghahanda para sa mga susunod pang panahon,” (These are part of our recovery program. It aims to give Bulakenyos livelihood. We're also working on the implementation of People's Agenda 10. We need sources of income to prepare for the future),” the re-elected governor said.

The beneficiaries are from Plaridel, Marilao, Santa Maria, Angat, City of Malolos, Bulakan, San Rafael, San Ildefonso, Obando, City of Meycauayan, Guiguinto, and Norzagaray. They are part of the rehabilitation program for farmers who were affected by typhoons Fabian, Jolina, and Maring in 2021.
