K-pop boy band NCT 127 member Jungwoo has tested positive for Covid-19 after returning to South Korea from Japan.
NCT 127 held their “Neo City: Japan–The Link” concert at Tokyo Dome on May 28 and 29.

SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, announced that “NCT’s Jungwoo was diagnosed with Covid-19 today (June 1).”
“Jungwoo was negative in the PCR ] test performed before leaving Japan, and in accordance with quarantine procedure, he was confirmed to have Covid-19 in the PCR test conducted after returning to Korea,” it said.
The agency said, “Jungwoo has completed the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and is currently showing no symptoms. He has suspended all schedules and is self-isolating according to the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.”
“Except for Jungwoo, all NCT 127 members tested negative after entering the country,” it said.
Last May 18, NCT 127 member Taeil tested positive for Covid-19, preventing him from joining the group at the Nagoya concert. He recovered on May 25 and was able to join NCT 127 at Tokyo Dome.
