Bren Esports part ways with veteran roamer Lusty

Bren Esports has decided to part ways with veteran roamer Alan “Lusty” Castromayor, the esports organization announced on Tuesday, May 31.

The decision marked the end of their partnership that lasted for five seasons which produced an MPL championship in Season 6 and a World Championship in M2 last year.

Lusty, a veteran who started his career in the league back in Season 2 with ArKangel Ownage before he got acquired by Bren before in Season 5, was one of the last three remaining members of Bren's M2 championship team in Season 9 along with Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel and David “Flaptzy” Canon.

“Journeys have a starting point and a destination. We are neither. We are forever grateful for stopping over with us as you make your way to the other great things you can accomplish, BREN Lusty,” said Bren in a post on its official Facebook page

Lusty was a vital cog in Bren’s championship run last year when he joined hands with Pheww, fellow veteran CJ “Ribo” Ribo and then rising stars Flaptzy and Karl “Karltzy'' Nepomuceno.

The crew’s performance however spiraled down in Season 8 as it finished 7th-8th place prompting Bren to break the quintet with Ribo taking a break and Karltzy signing for ECHO in Season 9.

When Bren acquired rookies from Arkangel Esports last season, Lusty took a step back and was relegated to the second team all while taking a leadership role to the rookie-laden squad. The team however still failed to advance to the playoffs last season after finishing dead last in the regular season.
