According to Robredo, the free teleconsultation service handled more than 58,000 cases—both Covid-19 and non-Covid patients—since April 2021.

This program was launched by the Vice President to help address the surge in coronavirus cases amid the pandemic.

Robredo expressed gratitude to the 947 volunteer doctors, 1,761 call agents, and other non-medical personnel who joined the OVP program.

“Lubos ang aking pasasalamat sa lahat ng nakasama natin: sa ating (I’m very thankful to all who joined us: to our) volunteer doctors, call/chat agents, EMS teams, and to my OVP family,” she said in a Twitter post.

As she spoke of Bayanihan E-Konsulta’s last day of service, Robredo could not help but feel honored to serve her fellow Filipinos in need during the health crisis.

“At sa lahat ng mga kababayan na ating natulungan sa (And to all our countrymen who were helped by the) Bayanihan E-Konsulta, malaking karangalan po para sa amin na kayo ay mapaglingkuran (it’s a big honor to serve you),” she said.

The Vice President launched the free teleconsultation service in a bid to also help decongest hospitals following the spike in Covid-19 cases in the country at that time.

Her office sent Covid-19 care kits containing free medicine, oximeter, vitamins, thermometer, face masks, and alcohol to Covid patients.
