ILOILO CITY – A 41-year-old woman considered as one of the most wanted persons in Parañaque City for killing her former employer 25 years ago was arrested in Jamindan, Capiz last Friday, May 27.
The Police Regional Office-Western Visayas (PRO-6) identified the suspect as Melanie Blanco.
She was arrested in Barangay Jaena Sur by the Jamindan Municipal Police Station, Parañaque City Police Station, National Capital Region
Police Office-Regional Intelligence Unit, Capiz Police Provincial Office-Intelligence Unit, and the PRO-6 Regional Intelligence Unit.
Blanco was arrested through a warrant of arrest issued by the Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 259 for robbery and homicide in January 2015.
Blanco is one of three suspects in the robbery and killing of a former employer in August 1997.
The PRO-6 management is pleased by the combined efforts of the different police units in the suspect’s arrest.
"This is a clear manifestation that no one can hide from the rule of law and show that the police keep on tracking the remaining wanted persons in the region,” said PRO-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo.
