TABUK CITY, Kalinga -- Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Tabuk City Police Station arrested three high value drug personalities in their suspected drug den during a buy-bust operation on Saturday, May 28, in Purok 6, Bulanao, Tabuk City in this province.
Col. Peter Tagtag, Jr., provincial director of Kalinga Provincial Office, identified the suspects as Jocel Bayle Gunnawa, 43, contractual worker at Kalinga Provincial Capitol and a resident of Purok 6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga; Lino Gud-Ay y Bumunas, 50, a resident of Malinawa, Tabuk City, Kalinga and Christma Albing Soposop, 32, meat vendor and a resident of Dagupan, Tabuk City, Kalinga.
They were apprehended at around 3 p.m. by operatives of PDEA-Cagayan in coordination with Tabuk CPS under operation ‘Olan Big Brother.'
The operatives confiscated four pieces heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 10 grams with an estimated standard drug value of P68,000.00; two transparent plastic sachets containing suspected residue of shabu; black improvised burner; two pieces improvised tooter; one piece foil strip containing suspected shabu; two pieces foil strip with suspected residue of shabu; red straw containing suspected residue of shabu; one piece genuine one thousand peso bill; and 39 pieces one thousand peso boodle money used as buy-bust money.
Other confiscated items were one black Nokia keypad cellphone, one yellow Nokia keypad phone, one blue OPPO A16 and one black OPPO cellular phone.
On site inventory of pieces of evidence was conducted in the presence of the suspects duly witnessed by Department of Justice and media representatives and one Barangay Kagawad of Bulanao.
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
