PH Red Cross administers over 45,000 Covid-19 vaccines in Misamis Oriental
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Misamis Oriental-Cagayan De Oro Chapter, together with the city government of Cagayan de Oro, has already administered 45,888 doses of Covid-19 vaccines and boosters since 2021.

Through the PRC Bakuna Teams, the organization has fully vaccinated at least 4,161 persons from February to May 29.
“When the world no longer watches, we do what must be done. Mananatiling nandito ang Philippine Red Cross, handang umaksyon anuman ang magiging sitwasyon ng bansa laban sa Covid-19 (When the world no longer watches, we do what must be done. The Philippine Red Cross remains present and ready to aid whatever the situation against Covid-19 in our country be),” said PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard J. Gordon in a statement Monday, May 30.
The PRC Bakuna Teams deployed in SM Downtown Quantum also support one Bakuna Center in Cagayan de Oro City.
Being under Covid-19 alert level one, all interzonal and intrazonal travels and outdoor activities are allowed in the city but subject to the local government’s guidelines.
Other PRC vaccination sites in Mindanao include Tawi-Tawi, Cotabato City-Maguindanao, Sulu, Davao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Sultan Kudarat, Marawi City, and Zamboanga City.
The vaccination drive is a part of the PRC's Covid-19 response in the Philippines.
As of May 29, PRC has administered 1,185,628 doses of Covid-19 vaccines and boosters in the whole country, with at least 372,780 persons fully vaccinated. (Luisa Cabato)
