Omega Esports lets go of Outplayed, Allidap

The season isn’t over yet for Omega Esports as it will still defend its MSC crown but the MPL S9 runner-up is already making some tweaks to its lineup in preparation for the tournaments ahead.

Omega had let go some of its supporting cast with the release of Jhonville “Outplayed” Villar and Romiere “Allidap” Padilla, the esports team announced on Saturday, May 28.

“The whole Smart Omega Esports org is full of gratitude for your contribution to the team and to our family. We will always admire both of your passion for the game and will also cherish the time that we've spent together. We'll surely miss having both of you around the camp,” Omega said in a post.

Outplayed joined Omega at the start of Season 9 but played sparingly as he served as backup to star gold laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas.

Allidap, on the other hand, was acquired by Omega the same time when the core players of Execration signed for the team at the start of Season 8.

Meanwhile, ECHO also made its move in the off-season with the release of veteran Mark “Hadess” Lazaro along with rookie Rion “RK3” Kudo and Aaron “AaronQT” Lim.

Hadess and Rk3 were part of the ECHO main five during Season 8 but had to step back and give way to their prized acquisitions in Karl “Karltzy '' Nepomuceno and Frediemar “3martzy” Serafico.

ECHO had a solid start to its campaign in Season 9 earning the tag as the league’s "super team" but met with disappointments in the playoffs after a first round exit with a stunning 3-0 sweep loss to Omega.
