A barangay chairman was gunned down by two unidentified men who were on board a motorcycle in Malabon City on Saturday morning, May 28.
The Malabon City Police Station (MCPS) Investigation Unit said that the victim, Barangay Tonsuya Chairman Filemon Villanueva, 68, was sitting infront of his house at C. Perez Street at around 9:35 a.m. when the suspects suddenly came and fired shots towards him.
The police said that the first suspect was seen wearing a blue jacket and a white helmet while his cohort was wearing a white jacket and a grey helmet.
They then fled the crime scene riding a red Honda Click motorcycle.
Police said that the victim was rushed to the Manila Central University Hospital in Caloocan City after sustaining wounds on his abdomen and right leg.
Villanueva was declared dead at around 3:20 p.m.
Probers are still looking into the motive and the identity of the suspects.
