Wanted criminal gang member in Bacolod falls


BACOLOD CITY - A wanted person believed to have links with a criminal gang was arrested by police at Puentebella Subdivision, Barangay Taculing here on Wednesday.

Armed with an arrest warrant issued by Judge Juvy Victoriano-Dioso of Regional Trial Court Branch 49 here October 1, 2021 for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the operatives arrested Lloyd Martin Lopez, 36, of Barangay Taculing.

Maj. Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 6, said that Lopez was listed as the number eight most wanted person of Police Station 6.

Estopa said they have validated information allegedly linking Lopez to the “Aki Cuadra” criminal group.

The criminal group was led by Arnold ‘Aki’ Cuadra, 30, of Barangay 2 here, who was an alleged notorious robbery group leader.

He was killed by unidentified armed men who abducted some of his members at their apartment in Barangay Vista Alegre here early this year.

Some of the members of Cuadra’s group had also been killed this year.
