Police nab five drug dealers, seize ‘shabu’ worth P816,000 in separate operations in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY—Two separate anti-drug operations in Iloilo led to the arrest of five suspected drug dealers and the confiscation of shabu with an estimated value of P816,000 drug dealers on Wednesday, May 25.

Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas director of Police Regional Office (PRO-6), considered the twin anti-drug operations as big accomplishments.

The biggest catch was in Pavia town, Iloilo province where 85 grams of shabu worth P578,000 were confiscated from Raymond Janolino Tatel in a buy-bust operation jointly conducted by the drug enforcement teams of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and Pavia Municipal Police Station.

In another anti-drug operation in Iloilo City, operatives seized 35 grams of shabu worth at least P238,000 from suspects Chua Hulleza Young, Kelvin Bryan Solano Hulleza, Aldrin Eduardo Garcia, and Fritz Alvin Jabonet Anacan.

The four were caught by combined elements of PRO-6’s Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO-Station 2).

Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said all five drug suspects have been under surveillance for several months prior to May 25 drug operations.

All five are charged for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
