DOH reiterates Covid-19 vaccines effective, safe

The Department of Health (DOH) reiterated that all Covid-19 vaccines in the country are safe and effective.

"All vaccines provided by the government are proven safe and effective," the state health agency said in a statement on Thursday, May 26.

"They have undergone peer reviewed studies and scrutiny by experts, both globally and locally," it added.

The DOH issued the statement amid circulating false promises of vaccine incentives.

"There are circulating messages claiming that the government will give incentives and awards to individuals who have allegedly fallen victim or have had bad experience with Covid-19 vaccines," the DOH said.

"The DOH denies these false promises and offers. We urge everyone to always check official DOH sources before forwarding anything. Delete chain messages," it added.
