Police nab 68 wanted persons in weeklong region-wide manhunt operations in Cordillera


CAMP DANGWA, Benguet -- Sixty-eight individuals wanted by the law were arrested in an intensified week-long series of manhunt operations conducted by the Police Regional Office in the Cordillera Region.

Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), from May 15 to 21, Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with 24, followed by Benguet Provincial Office with 17; Abra PPO with seven; Kalinga PPO & Ifugao PPO with six each and Apayao PPO & Mt. Province with four arrests each.

Of the total arrested, 22 were listed as most wanted, with five at the provincial level, four at the municipal level, three at the city level, and ten at the station level.

At the Provincial Level, Jacob Valdez and Valdez G Jacob, both listed as No. 2, were arrested for the crime of robbery and violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004, respectively; Tomas Natividad, listed as No. 6, was arrested for violation of RA 7610 or the Anti Child Abuse Law and crime of Rape by Sexual Assault; Jun A Dela Cruz, listed No. 9, was arrested for the crime of Rape; and Rexiquell L. Estacio, listed No. 10, was arrested for violation of RA 7610.

At the municipal level, Warlito C. Tabanda, Edilberto T. Traboco, and Abril F Soliweg, who are listed as No.1, were arrested for the crime of Statutory Rape, Frustrated Murder, and for violation of RA 7610 or the Anti Child Abuse Law, in that order. Also nabbed was Edilberto T. Traboco, No. 3 most wanted, was arrested for violation of RA 8203 or the Special Law on Counterfeit Drugs.

At the City Level, Roderick Natividad and Robert Gallardo, both listed as No. 2, were arrested for the crime of qualified rape and robbery with homicide, respectively, and Mayvel Aguinas, listed as No. 5, was arrested for the crime of illegal recruitment.

Lastly, at the Station Level, Milando Pili, listed as No. 1, was arrested for the crime of Statutory Rape; Noel S Alos and Roland Q Ruaro, both No. 5, were arrested for the crime of Estafa; Marilyn DC Ruaro a.k.a. Marlyn Garcia, listed as No. 6, and Annie Michelle Velasco, listed as No. 7, were arrested for the crime of estafa; Victor Tirso and Michael Castro, both No. 7, were arrested for the crime of robbery with intimidation and violation of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women, respectively; Cris Joshua A Fangonilo, lNo. 8, was arrested for the crime of estafa; Alberto Ngayaan, No. 9, was arrested for violation of RA 9287 or “An Act Increasing The Penalties for Illegal Numbers Games and its Implementing Rules”; and Carlos Nicholas Ibarra, listed as No. 10, who was arrested for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
