Coco Martin on Susan Roces: 'Hinding-hindi ka po namin makakalimutan'

Coco Martin admitted he was shocked learning about the demise of Susan Roces.

The actor shared this Sunday via Sen. Grace Poe-Llamanzares’ Facebook live video.

"Honestly, hindi ko po talaga alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko ngayon. Talagang shock ang nararamdaman ko kasi hindi ako makapaniwala na mangyayari ito. Alalang-alala ko ang pagkikita namin ni Tita Sue na ang lalakas lakas niya, ang saya saya niya...”

Note the two worked together for years via “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”

Coco maintained, “Si Tita Susan hindi ko siya katrabaho, hindi katrabaho lang ang tingin ko sa kanya. Malalim ang pagtingin, pagmamahalan at respeto namin sa bawat isa."

He went on to share how the film icon, wife of the late great Fernando Poe Jr., helped him in so many ways, at one point boosting his confidence particularly relating to attending star-studded gatherings.

"Kasi nakikita niya na hindi ako kumportable bilang isang artista kasi sinasabi ko, kapag nakakakita na ako ng medyo sosyalan, kapag nakikita ko na medyo nagi-Inglisan na para akong nati-tiyope kasi nga po alam naman ng lahat 'yon na hindi ako marunong mag-Ingles. Kaya sabi sa akin ng aking lola (Susan), hindi importanteng pagi-Ingles at hindi 'yan ang magiging batayan para respetuhin ka ng tao. Ang importante ay marunong kang humarap sa tao na may dignidad," he related.

"Ang importante ay totoo ang sinasabi mo at nasa puso mo. Ang mas mahirap ay hindi ka marunong mag-Tagalog at nasa Pilipinas ka, hindi ka magkakapera. At naniniwala po ako roon, kaya mula noong sobrang naging tight kami," Coco added.

He then addressed Susan, "'La kung nasan ka man po ngayon, gusto ko pong malaman na lahat kami na nandito ay sobrang-sobrang mahal ka po namin at hinding-hindi ka po namin makakalimutan habang-buhay. I love you."
