Sibol Crossfire, League of Legends settle for silvers

Sibol teams in Crossfire and League of Legends settled for silver medals after suffering defeats at the hands of host Vietnam in the 31st Southeast Asian Games at the Vietnam National Convention Center on Sunday, May 22.

The Sibol League of Legends team composed of Andre "Calumnia" Soriano, Emmanuel "yjyyyyyyyyyy" Tapang, Edward "Creshowo" Hortizuela, Raphael "RVL8" Retance, Elijah "ParzivaI" Canlas and Van "Vansu" Alfonso from West Point Esports yielded to the Vietnamese via a clean 3-0 sweep in the gold-medal round.

The Crossfire team which had to grind its way to get a shot for the gold medal through the lower bracket ended up with the same fate after also losing to Vietnam, 3-0.

The crew of Dennis "ZDD" Ramos Jr, Aldrin "Aldrin" Borabon, John Kenneth "zYK" Alde, Matthew "EL1" Arnaez, and Christian "Revenge" Amorea earlier defeated Indonesia, 3-0, in the lower bracket to secure the silver but couldn’t exact its revenge against Vietnam which also defeated them in the upper bracket finals, 2-0.
