CEBU CITY -- Packs of suspected shabu worth more than P8 million were seized in a series of anti-illegal drug operations in Central Visayas on Wednesday.
The biggest haul came from Barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City where authorities found 700 grams of alleged shabu from 29-year old Bryan Duallo Justol who was cornered during a buy-bust in C. Padilla Street, Duljo Fatima in Cebu City.
The estimated value of 700 grams is P4.7 million. Police considered Justol a high-value individual.
In Balamban town, Cebu, operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, 1st Provincial Maneuver Force Company and Balamban Municipal Police Station arrested a 33-year-old man, who yielded 110 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P748,000.
The suspect was identified as John Marlon Alines Lausa, a resident of Barangay Bunga, Toledo City, Cebu.
In a separate buy-bust operation in Dumaguete City, Davi Bendijo Aguilar, 47, was arrested with 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at P680,000.
Two persons were also arrested as operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement and Tagbilaran City Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tip-Tip, Tagbilaran.
Arrested suspects were identified as Jezrel Aaron Estique Butalid, 38, and Mary Mae Pocot Pondoc, 26, who yielded packs of shabu worth P510,000.
In Barangay Tisa, Cebu City, Rocelito Parba Alcuizar, 38, was arrested after he was caught possessing 50 grams of shabu worth P340,000.
In another operation, a 26-year-old female drug suspect was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Toledo City.
Police identified the suspect as Christine Amodia Monte De Ramos, who was caught with 160 grams of suspected drugs with an estimated value of P1,088,000.
“We will sustain our intensified campaign against illegal drugs and other forms of illegal activities,” said Brig. General Eduardo Vega, chief of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas.
