SC turns over donation to UP-PGH

SC donation to UP-PGH Pediatric Cancer Ward

The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday, May 17, turned over to the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) pediatric cancer ward several boxes of formula milk.

The donation was turned over by SC En Banc Clerk of Court Marife M. Lumibao Cuevas and First Division Deputy Clerk of Court Maria Teresa B. Sibulo. It was received by Fr. Marlito G. Ocon, SJ of UP-PGH chapel and chaplaincy.

The SC’s public information office (PIO) said the donation was made as part of the SC’s Kalinga Week project.

The Kalinga (support or care) Week project started in June 2021 when the different SC offices took turns in extending financial and in-kind assistance to three organizations which care for and serve the underprivileged in the SC’s vicinity on Padre Faura Street, Ermita Manila -- AJ Kalinga Foundation, Inc., Kawa Pilipinas, and the UP-PGH.

The project also “promotes early diagnosis, a nurturing environment and adequate community support for children with special needs....”
