Robyn Brown gave all that she could, but could only settle for the bronze medal in the women’s 400-meter hurdles at the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Still, her time of 56.44 seconds broke the long-standing 31-year-old record of 57.57sec held by Elma Muros-Posadas at the Singapore Open in 1991.
Brown finished behind eventual champion Quach Thi Lan of Vietnam, who clocked 56.33sec, and another Vietnamese in Nguyen Thi Huyen, who timed 56.41sec.
