Anti-kidnapping operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have arrested two Chinese tagged as responsible in the abduction of a Vietnamese and another foreigner last week.
Lt. Col. Joan Montero, spokesperson of the PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group, said victim Nguyen Huyen Chau was released by his captors on May 14 after his family paid P600,000.
The victim was kidnapped on May 11.
During the follow-up operation, AKG operatives went to a hotel in Pampanga were the Vietnamese was held captive.
It was then that suspect Huang Jun and Lu Zhillin were collared while with another kidnapping victim, Chinese national identified as Li Jin Le.
The suspects are now under police custody and are facing cases of kidnapping and serious illegal detention.
