Pacquiao bucked his slow start and unloaded multiple jabs and combinations to overwhelm Barajas in the second and third round.

The last round, however, proved to be instrumental for the 21-year-old Pacquiao as he stepped on the gas especially in the waning seconds and connected significant punches for the win.

Jimuel also showed a glimpse of his crafty and speedy footwork in the same way how his father used it to his advantage.

The bout served as a special attraction for Tom Loeffler's 360 Promotions Hollywood Fight Night Series as UFC president Dana White was among the spectators watching Pacquiao.

The win came in just two months since Jimuel, son of legendary and eight-division world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, defeated Mexican-American Andres Rosales in California last March.

Overall, Jimuel improved to a 5-1 amateur record.
