Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has ordered the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) to investigate the riot between rival gangs at the Quezon City Jail that left one inmate dead and several others wounded on Friday afternoon, May 13.

We have ordered an in -depth investigation into the riot at the Quezon City Jail to find out its cause),” Belmonte said.

Those who had neglected their duty must be punished so that this kind of incident would not happen again in our facilities),” she added.
