Celebrities come together for viral Kakampink couple

The engaged couple who went viral on social media displaying a photo of them holding a poster with a message that read "Ikakasal kami na si LENI ang PRESIDENTE" has gained the support of several celebrities.

Top-rated designer Gladi Echavarre, who has dressed up many celebrities like Gabbi Garcia, Pia Wurtzbach, and Rabiya Mateo, pledged to make the bride's wedding dress for free.

"This lovely couple has been bashed and became the poor subject of ridicule. Let's turn our loss & grief into something beautiful to our fellow kakampink," she wrote.

Netizens helped identify the couple: Emanuelle Cruz De Guzman and Ariean Cristobal.

Other Kakampinks were quick to offer their services to the couple as well.

Among them was singer-actor Pepe Herrera, who wrote: "Kung Kailangan ng kakanta Sa reception, I am also willing to do it for free. PM niyo lang ako pag May final date na."

Musician Johnoy Danao also said the same thing, commenting: "Kung wala pa silang wedding singer let me know."

Ogie Diaz's vlog co-host, Loi Villarama, also added: "HOST PDE AKO."

Christopher Munar, a jewelry maker who also worked with beauty queens and celebrities, also vowed to give the bride earrings.

Divine Lee also promised to send the couple a gift.

Some netizens joined in, offering free services - from prenuptial shoot, giveaways for the godparents, dress for the sponsors, choreographing the bride and groom's intermission numbers or entourage entertainment numbers, and the couple's honeymoon trip, among others.

On Facebook, Ariean expressed gratitude.

She wrote: "I still cannot believe what happened in the last 24 hours. It's been surreal. Miss Gladi Echavarre, you are a wonder worker. We cannot express how much gratitude we have with you. To everybody who wanted to pledge and are still pledging, thank you so much. At this point, we've communicated with dozens of suppliers with the help of our ever so amazing coordinator, Lia Del Castillo. People who we did not even imagine can be part of this wedding has reached out and expressed their support and love. We are overwhelmed, in a good way, by the outpouring bayanihan spirit. However, we already have agreed that the wedding we want is already going to happen with the suppliers we are currently in communication with. With that said, we will politely and respectfull decline any more pledges. We'd rather ask those who plan to still pledge wedding favors to express the love to other #EngagedCouplesForLeni

Mabuhay tayong lahat!"
