According to Korea’s Hanteo Chart, "Minisode 2: Thursday's Child" sold 1,072,854 copies in two days. The album debuted at No. 1 on Hanteo Chart’s daily album chart on May 9 with 918,413 copies in sales followed by 154,441 copies on the second day on May 10.

Their last album “The Chaos Chapter: Fight or Escape,” a repackaged version released in August 2021, sold 294,991 copies on the first day to bring the one-week sales to 483,911, according to Hanteo Chart.

This is the first time that TXT sold one million copies of their album since their debut three years ago.

During their press conference, TXT talked about the album, which tells the story of a boy experiencing love and breakup.

"We have so far presented songs about a boy who meets friends, love and broadens his world. But I think breakup is an incident that is inevitable for one's growth, because we come to learn new emotions through breakups," said Hueningkai, Yonhap News reported.

According to Beomgyu, "When you think of a breakup song, you may think of a song brimming with feelings of missing a departed lover or sadness. But we made our own breakup song through a new interpretation."

"This is the first time that members took part in all tracks of an album. I felt proud and rewarded to see our growth as artists through this experience,” he added.

"Minisode 2: Thursday's Child" garnered 1.46 million in pre-orders and according to Taehyun, "I was surprised so many people showed their support for the album even though it has not been released yet.”

TXT will be embarking on the first world tour in July.

"Since we're really confident in offline performances, we want to show you that we as a group are better on stage," said Taehyun.
