Johnnie Walker gives a taste of summer with limited-edition highball drinks, interactive games, and awesome beats
Recently launched at the heart of Bonifacio Global City, the Johnnie Walker Highball Bar welcomes summer adventurers to its interactive pop-up at Burgos Park, Forbestown Road until May 28, 2022. The leading Scotch whisky brand mixes delectable food, hype music, and fun-filled activities in one outdoor activation. During its event launch, Nico Bolzico and Laureen Uy also introduced music acts of Butta B, Nix, Steelo, and a surprise special performance by Careless Music’s James Reid.
"We're introducing more people to an interactive and entertaining experience that we know will make them fall in love with highballs even more,” shares Merell Beltran, Diageo marketing manager for Culture and Advocacy. "With the many delicious drinks available at the Johnnie Highball Bar, coupled with the great events guests can look forward to, we want to show guests that they can taste more out of life and get more out of their casual get-togethers with Johnnie Walker.”
From the House Pop-up in 2018 to the Highball Arcade in 2020, Johnnie Walker now offers its patrons a bolder experience with its limited-edition highballs including Citrus Smash, Root Beer Float, and Sugar Boba. Developed by Diageo Brand Ambassador Rian Asiddao and Diageo Reserve World Class Philippine Bartender of the Year Lester Ligon, these Highball Spotlight Reserves are exclusively available at the Highball Bar together with signature serves Johnnie & Lime, Johnnie & Ginger, and Johnnie & Apple.
The new serves are prepared with Johnnie Walker Black Label, providing that gold standard taste and texture the brand has been known for. The Citrus Smash has a combination of sweet, sour, and smoky flavors. As for the Root Beer Float, it combines the smooth textures of whisky and the sweetness of root beer. Infused with Earl Grey milk tea, the Sugar Boba packs a bold palette served with chewy boba.
On select nights, the Highball Bar will host exciting performances, events, and themed pop-ups featuring food and lifestyle brand partners. The schedule is as follows: May 14, there will be live performances brought by Mango Room Studios; May 12, Massiah album release performance; and May 21, a La Union pop-up.
