2022 not a lucky year for these celebrity politicians

While the likes of Robin Padilla and Arjo Atayde easily proved their much vaunted star power joining the winner’s circle following the recently concluded elections, some celebrities failed to muster enough pull to do the same.

Actor Raymond Bagatsing fell short against former actor Yul Servo in the vice mayoralty race of Manila.

Actress and Binibining Pilipinas 2012 second runner-up Ali Forbes didn’t succeed in her aim to become councilor of the 6th District of Quezon City.

Actress Claudine Barretto failed to gather enough votes to secure a council seat in Olongapo City.

On the same boat is actor Bobby Andrews who was running for councilor in Quezon City's 4th district.

Comedian Long Mejia, who ran as a provincial board member of the first district of Bulacan, as well as actor Dan Alvaro, who ran as a board member of the 5th District of the said province, both failed in their respective bids.

Rovie "Mariposa" Cabigquez will have to continue her career as dancer failing to win as councilor in the lone district of Meycauyan, Bulacan.

Hottie Arci Muñoz will not sit as councilor in Cainta, Rizal.

Ditto Dennis Padila (Caloocan City); and stand-up comedian Inday Garutay (San Juan).

Former actress Precious Hipolito-Castelo was defeated by Raffy Tulfo’s son Ralph, in the congressional race in the second district of Quezon City.

Actor Richard Yap, who was aiming for a congressional seat in Cebu City’s North District, has conceded.

Rommel Padilla wasn’t as lucky as his brother, losing the congressional race in the first district of Nueva Ecija.
