Carl Balita concedes defeat in Senate race; says he is 'signing off'

Aksyon Demokratiko senatorial bet Carl Balita signed off as a senatorial candidate on Tuesday, May 10.

“Senate Candidate #6, is signing off,” Balita said in a Facebook post.

“You heard the voice and stance of the first Nurse, Midwife, Licensed Teacher, Doctor of Education, EntrepGuru as a candidate,” he said.

Balita added he will now go back to his “family, class, businesses, social media, and advocacies.”

As of this posting, Balita placed 30th spot in the partial and unofficial count of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Balita ran under presidential candidate Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso’s Aksyon Demokratiko.

“Tomorrow will take care of itself. Salamat sa lahat ng pagmamahal (Thank you for all the love),” he said.

“Ang puso ko ay puno ng galak, pagmamahal, pananampalataya at pag-asa (My heart is full of joy, love, faith, and hope),” he said.
