Binangonan voters give Mayor Ynares fresh mandate


Mayor Cesar Ynares of Binangonan, Rizal was given a fresh mandate after the municipal board of canvassers proclaimed his win in the mayoral race on Tuesday, May 10.

Garnering 84,614 votes, Ynares, who ran unopposed under the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) party, was proclaimed winner by the board at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

His brother, Boyet Ynares, who got 71,445 votes in the vice-mayoral race, was also among the local candidates proclaimed by the board.

In his message following his proclamation, Mayor Ynares thanked his constituents who have been supporting him throughout his nine years as mayor of the lakeshore town of Rizal. He will be serving his last term of office.

Ynares said having been elected unopposed for his last term of office means that the people have been satisfied with the service of his administration.

He also thanked the employees and public officials who have helped him in giving the right kind of services to the people of Binangonan.
