Poll commissioner casts vote in Binondo, Manila


Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia was among those who voted on Monday, May 9.

Garcia said he voted in Binondo, Manila together with his family.

"I together with my 92 years old mom and 65 years old PWD sister have completed voting at Pedro Guevara School, Binondo, Manila," he said in a statement.

The poll official said he was able to vote in five minutes.

"In record time of five minutes. Very orderly," said Garcia.

Other poll officials voted under the local absentee voting, which ran from April 27 to 29.

Poll Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan and Commissioner Aimee Neri voted at the Comelec main office in Intramuros, Manila on April 27.

Pangarungan is a registered voter of Marawi City, in Lanao del Sur while Neri is a registered voter of Cagayan de Oro.

It was not clear when Commissioners Marlon Casquejo, Rey Bulay, Aimee Ferolino, Socorro Inting voted.
