Mayor Abalos, Abalos Sr. cast votes at Highway Hills Integrated School


Incumbent Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and her father-in-law, former Commission on Elections (Comelec) chairman and mayoral aspirant Benjamin Abalos Sr. cast their votes on Monday, May 9.

The two candidates voted at the Highway Hills Integrated School in Barangay Highway Hills.

They arrived at their respective voting precincts early morning. Abalos Sr., along with other senior citizens, was able to finish voting early.

Meanwhile, Mayor Abalos, together with her husband, former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos and daughters Charlene and Corrine, was able to finish voting at around 11:00 a.m.

The mayor the reminded voters to continue practicing the minimum health protocols and also thanked everyone who exercised their right to vote.

Abalos Sr. is running for mayor of Mandaluyong City, while Mayor Abalos is running for vice mayor.

Running with the daughter-in-law and father-in-law tandem under Team Performance are congressional aspirant Neptali Gonzales II, Junis Alim, Miguel Carlos Aquino, Danny de Guzman, Rodolfo Posadas, Anthony Suva, and Elton Yap for District 1 councilors.

The team's candidates for District 2 councilors are Benjamin Abalos III, Leslie Cruz, Botong Gonzales Cuejilo, Marco Merza , Mike Ocampo, and Alex Sta. Maria.
